I have loved mythology since I was little. I took an interest first in Greek mythology, since we learn about it first in school, but I also branched out into Egyptian mythology.

I abandoned my passion early on; there was no particular reason I had for doing so, though my freshman English professor came perilously close to resurrecting it for me by introducing me to Joseph Campbell. But mythology laid on the wayside of my Big Adult Grown Up Life.

Just over a decade later I was so done with that! And when I started delving into the concept of the hero’s journey last year, that brought me right back to mythology again.

Now, I’m working on a huge comprehensive mythology website, The Story of Myth. I’m learning a lot, starting with Greek mythology. I feel that mythology is a study of story, of anthropology, of psychology, and of history all wrapped up together and jostling for position. I’ve a lot to learn and share, and all the posts with interesting tidbits from my studies of myth can be found here. Also, I’ll post about updates on the Story of Myth website.
