They say practice makes perfect. I say ditch the exercises and just have some fun instead, because perfect is a waste of everyone’s time. If you live in the art world and wait on perfection, you will have great dreams of becoming an artist….forever.

And so here are my mini-projects and diversions, laid out for easily finding each.

• Museum Tuesdays: every Tuesday, the museums of Balboa Park are admission-free. I like to go and see what I can see in the paintings.
